Digital Marketing & Community Manager

Location: Portland, OR

Full Time

The ideal applicant will possess stellar knowledge and capabilities within the digital media and social media landscape, have a passion for consumer branding and love to create innovative experiences for consumers. As a natural community builder, the ideal candidate loves to engage with others and will leverage assets such as offline events and online product launches to connect The Accessory Junkie brand with its consumers. Content creation, collaborations, and partnerships are an inherent part of the role and community building efforts.


A great role for someone who loves fashion and is looking for a fast paced, unique experience in a start up tech company.


This position works closely with and reports directly to the founders.



  • Content creation – writing blog posts, articles, newsletters, consumer communications, and material for social media channels.

  • Social media marketing – creating, managing and growing the company’s presence through blogs, Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest and other strategically relevant online channels.

  • Events and event planning – managing branded events across the country. Some company travel required to major cities, e.g. LA, NYC, Miami.

  • Public relations – work alongside The Accessory Junkie’s PR team to manage and support media requests for product samples, campaign materials, content, marketing materials. Align brand marketing with PR to ensure consistency across all marketing efforts are maintained.

  • Campaign materials – Work closely with the founders to build and manage all seasonal campaign materials. This includes: annual calendar of content, create seasonal marketing messages for each product collection and launch, create content for seasonal branded emails, content and design layout for product line sheets and media materials for each collection, travel stories and travel guides to recap The Accessory Junkie’s travel and buying trips from around the world.

  • Analytics – Understand the basic principles and best practices for Google Analytics and other measurement tools to provide reports on metrics, and continually find ways to improve on those metrics through testing and new initiatives. This position will manage the day to day of the company SEO / analytics intern.



  • Must be extremely detail oriented with strong attention to follow-through

  • Strong writing skills

  • Digital design capabilities a plus 

  • Communicate effectively in both written + verbal form

  • Flexible in work functions + duties

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks + meet deadlines

  • Proficient in managing large amounts of data + ability to interpret + extract meaningful insight from data

  • Exceptional time management skills

  • Strong teamwork skills

  • Proficiency in Adwords and Facebook Ads preferred

  • Proficiency in Photoshop a plus

  • Proficiency + strong skills in MS Office Suite

  • Some US Domestic Travel
